Bbdakota Posted April 28, 2019 Report Posted April 28, 2019 While I'm waiting on the driveshaft to come in, I'd like to change the rear seal in the transmission. Having problems locating a replacement. Does someone have a part number for a local parts store or a good source? Also, any tricks I need to know? I see the manual list a special tool to use but I assume the seal isn't that much different from a 727 or 904 except depth. It's the fluild drive in a 48 d24. Thanks. Quote
Bbdakota Posted April 28, 2019 Author Report Posted April 28, 2019 (edited) I see rockauto list a national 8160S. Is this the right seal? Edited April 28, 2019 by Bbdakota Quote
Jerry Roberts Posted April 29, 2019 Report Posted April 29, 2019 Lots of seals have a part number stamped on them . If you have a part number you could try ebay . If there is a shop in your area that specializes in bearings they might be able to help with the seal too . Quote
