Rear End Identification

Hello,

 

I am looking into buying the rusty rear end for my 1935 Plymouth PJ Deluxe. It is advertised as coming from a ‘35 PJ. Mine is the nice shiny black one. I can’t tell if the first digit is a six or eight. The parts list shows rear axle assemblies beginning in six. 

 

They measure the same from backing plate to backing plate.

 

Can anyone shed any light on this? How they were numbered, etc..
