marfulle Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 I replaced my motor in my 48 two door sedan. It blew a rod and replaced it with a 1951. I did find out the hard way that the bell housing is different. Well, everything is in and I am now going to time the motor. My question is: I know the firing order, but is that order from front of motor back or from the fire wall going forward? Just want to make sure. P.S. I painted my firewall when the motor was out and tore the moter down to the long block and paint it to. The engine compartment looks great. I will post a pic if I coud ever figure out how to do it. grey beard Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 . . . . . .actually, it turns clockwise when viewed from below, too. Mine turns clockwise when viewed from the front. Then again, when viewed from the driver's seat, it turns counter-clockwise. Oh, well, . . .. . . I hope you all get the picture . . . . . . Quote

Normspeed Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 That new motor should freshen up the old ride. Good going Eric, you've been working on that for a while now. Quote
