Fernando Mendes Posted May 23, 2017 Report Posted May 23, 2017 I always put additive gasoline in my three antique cars. These days I heard that common gasoline is better than additived for antiques.Who knows about this stuff? Quote
NiftyFifty Posted May 24, 2017 Report Posted May 24, 2017 Are you referring to gas containing ethanol? Ethanol is not a friend to carburetors and internal rubber seals and parts, due to its drying effect. Ethanol does burn a bit cooler and helps with detonation, but I find very poor performance using it and even in my new vehicles I can tell a difference. I stick to premium or low ethanol when possible. Quote

NiftyFifty Posted May 24, 2017 Report Posted May 24, 2017 We can buy premium here without...but not always, as some companies blend ethanol in all of their fuels. I'm a big fan of running Marvel Mystery oil in my fuel, it helps IMO with dry valves and lubricates the system as well as keeping things clean. There ar additives on the market to combat the issues with ethanol fuel, but I find them quite expensive in comparison to the MMO Quote
