meadowbrook Posted October 23, 2016 Report Posted October 23, 2016 Hi all, I am installing an electric fan in my 50 Dodge. My fan thermostat is the type that is supposed to be pushed through radiator core. Problem is, the probe is longer than the core is thick. So should I push all the way through or stop once it's about to break through the other side? Quote
Andydodge Posted October 23, 2016 Report Posted October 23, 2016 I have had an electric fan on my 318 powered 1940 Dodge since it had the V8 installed and have always used a manual switch........the stock temp guage tells me what the temp is & I flick the switch....simple and easy.........saves having to run one of those thermo switches and also saves having it on after I turn the car off and that switch allows the fan to flatten the battery....my 2 Oz cents worth......andyd Quote
Adam H P15 D30 Posted October 23, 2016 Report Posted October 23, 2016 I pushed mine all the way through on my 49, seems to work well. Quote
