Steering Wheel Adapter for 53 cranbrook

hey y'all.

I'm trying to get a 3 spoke moon wheel on my 53 cranbrook due to a  shorty original wheel.

Ive tried 2 adapters that my local shop said  would fit and neither worked. Anyone have any experience or knowledge on the topic?

Thanks in advanced.

...not sure how to explain the process in 20 words or less.....

Cut the center out of your oem wheel.

In a lathe, trim the od to something usable. YOU define usable in terms of column shrouding and base of new wheel.

Mark and drill for hole pattern of new wheel.

Install both pieces.

Make the rest of the parts fit.

You may need to make 'something' to fit between the 'new' adapter and the column to hide the internals, and, you may need to make a 'cone' of some sort to fit over the 'new' adapter to hide it. Perhaps one piece will do both jobs.

Welcome to the world of hot-rodding.
