1940plymouth Posted April 16, 2016 Report Posted April 16, 2016 can you guys help me out with the Year and Make of this car. It was in some old photos of a friend of mine Thanks, Bob Quote
40plyrod Posted April 16, 2016 Report Posted April 16, 2016 Looks like a 33-34 Ford but I'm not 100% sure. If it is a Ford curved or straight side hood lovers would differentiate between 33 or 34. Quote
Niel Hoback Posted April 16, 2016 Report Posted April 16, 2016 Looks like a 33 Studebaker to me. Quote
DonaldSmith Posted April 17, 2016 Report Posted April 17, 2016 I googled 33 Studebaker, and the cars looked just like this one. Quote
Niel Hoback Posted April 17, 2016 Report Posted April 17, 2016 I believe that's a Studebaker radiator ornament. But that's cheating. Quote
40plyrod Posted April 17, 2016 Report Posted April 17, 2016 (edited) Yup, I'm wrong. I agree... studebaker. I thought the top of the radiator shell wasn't quite right to be a ford. Of course I was viewing it on my phone...that my story and I'm sticking to it. Edited April 17, 2016 by 40plyrod 1 Quote
DonaldSmith Posted April 17, 2016 Report Posted April 17, 2016 In a television version of "Death of a Salesman", Lee J. Cobb the salesman waxed exuberantly about his life on the road, how he would crank open the windshield of his Studebaker, and just take in the breeze. But this was the 50's, and windshields did not crank open any more. The salesman was beginning to lose it. Quote
