BobT-47P15 Posted October 2, 2015 Report Posted October 2, 2015 I had the pleasure of meeting and visiting with Mr. Wayne Varner, otherwise known as Oldguy48. Wayne, who lives about 90 miles North of Carlisle, was accompanied by his son-in-law who was looking for parts for a project truck. As with many of us, Wayne said he didn't have a pressing need for any parts for his P15 four door....but he would probably end up with something related to take home. He was telling me about how he re-wired his Plymouth in a very unique way. Will have to look up some of his pics about that as I apparently missed it. I managed to find a few small car-related items before the rain returned at about 4 pm. Still have two more days, so hoping for some amount of decent weather. Nice meeting you, Wayne. Quote
Labrauer Posted October 2, 2015 Report Posted October 2, 2015 I think we are most like Wayne in the fact that we go to the car shows not needing any car parts but end up getting something to bring home anyway. I know that is the way I am even if I have a part at the house sometimes if the price is right I will just get another one just in case I need it some day. Quote
Oldguy48 Posted October 2, 2015 Report Posted October 2, 2015 Bob, It was a pleasure for me as well. I wish I could meet more of the forum members. It's interesting to read the various posts on the forum, but much more interesting to actually meet face-to-face, and have a conversation. So far, the only other forum member I've had the pleasure of meeting was Rodney Bullock, at the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals last year. I hope you encounter better weather for the rest of your stay. We left just at the right time to avoid getting wet. But had a very enjoyable day nevertheless. Wayne Quote

BobT-47P15 Posted October 3, 2015 Author Report Posted October 3, 2015 I remember that pic with Don and Norm, (the late Norm Milliner "Norm's Coupe".) Taken in Murfreesboro, TN, Don's home town at the time. He later took us for a ride in his Plym. Good times. Quote
