Running board interchange - '54 C-series boards on a '51 B-108?

Hey Fellas,

 

There's a possibility I may be able to get my hands on some 1954 C-series truck running boards.  Is there anyone out there with both a B series and a C series that could check to see if they are swapable?  The B-108's were about 54", but I'm not sure what the C's were. I know the '54s had the extended Ford type rear fenders, but the RB length from photos looks about the same.  The extended fender was all at the rear end anyway.  The tread pattern looks different too but I can live with that!  They look like the same width too.

They might  interchange, the C series running boards could be  shorter to accommodate the bigger rectangular C series fenders.
