Hood Ornaments

So i was wondering, what year and or models did they stop putting hood ornaments on trucks? My 50 1/2 ton has a hood ornament but my 51 3/4 ton does not. I know ive seen some 51's on the net with them so that makes me wonder if someone just put them on at a later date.

in 51 they became an OPTION.

I went through the parts book addendum's I could find and you could not get one for a '53 as far as I could tell.
