Geekay Posted January 27, 2015 Report Posted January 27, 2015 These are the "seats" fom my Fargo. Just a tube frame with canvas stretched over them and rope tied underneath, like a camp chair. I want to keep the Fargo original but I just cannot see these being being comfortable for more than about 5 minutes. I am so used to very comfy seats now. The van was owned by a professional fresh water fisherman in our biggest river system, the Murray River (divides Victoria from New South Wales) so I guess it was practical for him. Would these have been the "standard" seats or specially selected? Quote
Geekay Posted April 3, 2015 Author Report Posted April 3, 2015 I still REALLY want to know how common the seats are in my Suburban van so here are some more pics. One shows the passenger side ( I am in Aus so for you US folks that is on the left ) the seat tilts forward. Behind that seat on the floor INSIDE the van is the fuel/gas filler. In Desotodav's model there is a covered pipe that goes to the outside of the van. Nothing like some fuel fumes in the cab to give one that real automotive experience. Quote
DJ194950 Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 NO NAKED FLAME allowed in cab! That was the sign at the fuel stations in Brisbane,AU 12 years ago. They do Not call gasoline- gas either. It's petrol if I remember right. Quote

Yep, down under in Oz we are smart enought to know the liquid fuel we put in cars is from a oil petroleum product and hence called Petrol Neither is it a gas and is not made from natural gas or LPG and hence not called Gas. IanT_Qld Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Delivery vehicles were often sold empty so the owner could fit out as appropriate to his needs. Classic example is the chassis on cowl option. On the Petrol topic, petrol is a liquid not a gas or solid. Rather that a shorten Gasoline. Quote
