55 Fargo Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Hi Bill, when you have a moment, could you please identify my engine number and what it came from and what cubic ionch it would be. The engine number is P6D1 21777 C...thanx in advance Fred You may have deciphered this number before, but cannot find the results... Quote
55 Fargo Posted November 14, 2014 Author Report Posted November 14, 2014 P6 is a 1938 Plymouth. Quote
55 Fargo Posted November 14, 2014 Author Report Posted November 14, 2014 Nope but thanx for trying, it is not a 1938 Plym engine. Infact it is not a 23.5 inch USA built engine. This isa late 50s Canadian built engine, 25 inch block 251 engine, with internal by pass water pump. Bill W. has the info for the odd engine numbers to identify precisely what it is. I need the info for a friend who may be buying the block, and he wants to know it's Canadian manufacturing history. Quote
B-Watson Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 All my stuff is packed up getting ready for the trip back to Vancouver. But from memory it is a truck engine - P - 1960 6 - 6-cylinder D1 - ½ ton (250.6-cid) Will scrounge around around and see if I can find the books that have the info. Took some time to pack up - about 35 file boxes of books and files. Have more in storage in Vancouver. But at least I'll have everything in one place again. Quote
