my question is....

How critical is it to have the centering tool for the crankshaft when install a new chain cover gasket & seal?

if it's needed any idea where to get one?

What I did for mine was to install the cover with the bolts loose, then installed the front pulley/hub to center up the seal. With the pulley in place I tightened the bolts. Some I couldn't get at with the pulley in place, so I had to pull it back off to finish tightening everything. I could then install the front engine mount and install the pulley again. It was a little added work, but without the tool how else would you do it?
