Hello all, Long time no post for me. Are there any D24/25 owners who know how to get the speedometer. Mine is jammed up and has broken the speedo cable. Ive tried working it back and forth with a small screw driver to no avail so I would like to take it out. Sounds easy enough. I undid the 2 3/8 nuts and its still hooked into the high beam indicator light somehow. Can someone advise please?

It will probably be the same arrangement as my 1940 Dodge.......the high beam indicator globe socket actually screws into the indicator which is pushed in from the front of the dash, the globe socket screws onto this indicator from the back of the dash and it sounds like there is a bracket from the speedo that's sandwiched between the front part and the globe holder..........pull the globe wiring and globe holder away from the globe socket and see if you can unscrew the socket from the indicator.........hope this works.......lol..........andyd.

I will try when I get home.  It looked pressed on to me.  I'll feel silly if its that. simple. Here is a pic of it: post-443-0-38253200-1397052729_thumb.jpg

As Andy says, just screws off.

This one has the turn signal bulbs as well, but the principal is the same.
