TodFitch Posted March 9, 2014 Report Posted March 9, 2014 A long while ago ggdad1951 made available templates for the fuel pump heat shield. (I uploaded the PDF version to the downloads area of the web site nearly a year ago and failed to give him proper credit, very sorry about that.) Anyway, I finely found that "round tuit" the I needed to use that template to cut and shape a piece of sheet metal. A little quality time with the tin snips, drill press, files, etc. And I now have a heat shield retrofit for my '33. Looks like it works two ways. 1) Direct more air from the fan over the pump. And 2) block most of the radiant heating from the exhaust manifold. I hope that will put my vapor lock issues behind me. Many thanks for that template! Tod 1 Quote
