DonaldSmith Posted April 11, 2023 Author Report Posted April 11, 2023 I don't know if the Plymouth pitman arm is smaller than the Desoto one. They are different. The DeSoto arm has vibration dampeners, while the Plymouth box has a dampener in the mount. See if the pitman arm will go on the shaft at all. Mine was tight, and barely fit, with the nut just barely fully on. But I marked them with white-out, and they haven't loosened up. I remember Cardone had a data sheet showing the pitman shaft diameter and number of splines of various gears. That's how I found the model I bought. "Good luck; we're all counting on you." Quote

Yeah, there is no way that the Plymouth Pitman arm will fit on the Cardone pitman shaft. Good idea looking for a Cardone data sheet. I will start there. Thanks very much! Quote
