wiper issues

ok, am installing wipers but have the following issue;

some one explain please how wiper motor linkages work?

My wiper motor goes 360 around and around?

when connecting with linkages to the unit that connects to the wiper arms..it hits the inside of the top of the dashboard.

is that suppose to go 360 turn as well or with the help of the linkages go from right to left?

I am grey and now totally confused....

Only the motor end of the linkage makes a 360.

The wiper end just swings back and forth.

Thanks kevin, i thought so but mine wants to do the 360 on both ends. Does that mean i have to alter position the linkages ?

Do you have the arms on the tractors facing up or down?  Do the tractors and motor match the year of the cab?  The 48-50 and 51-53 had different locations and tractors.  I'm not sure if they're interchangable among the two different styles.

I had the same problem and come to find out I had one arm that was incorrect. Check to be sure the arms and motor are compatable.
