LAKOTA169 Posted June 16, 2013 Report Posted June 16, 2013 Thursday, my Fraternal Order Of police lodge took 17 special needs kids to the Detroit Zoo. Every kid (big and small) even got to hand feed a giraffe. We've been doing this for 20 years. At Christmas, we take Santa and presents to around 100 severely handicapped kids. Today, we had Cops On A Run. A motorcycle run to raise money to build a Law Enforcement Memorial in the State Capitol for Michigan fallen officers. We had over 60 bikes make the 180 mile run. The oldest rider was 73 and the youngest was 26. 1 Quote

Desotodav Posted June 16, 2013 Report Posted June 16, 2013 There are many good causes undertaken by those who have sworn an oath to protect and serve. So many Officer's continually put the life of others before their own in the line of duty in order to 'make a difference'. Stand tall with pride fellow Officer! Quote
