4camore
Hi, New to the forum and starting a project which has sat in my garage for the last decade. I have a 48 Plymouth convertible with lots of rust. I found the front floor pans, but could really use a new trunk pan and the sheet metal between the trunk and the front pans. I found this one site that lists 49 pans-- but not 48. http://c2cfabrication.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=20220&osCsid=hug5vl2v8lgi76v7imrue54ff1 Does anyone know is there a huge difference between the 49 and 48 trunks? Also is there any good sites to get fenders and some of the other sheet metal? Thanks in advance.
garbagestate 44
I think the 1949 model year underwent major design changes that would make the replacement pan hard if not impossible to shoehorn in. I have a 47 Chrysler Windsor with a rotten trunk and thought about the same thing but decided against it because it looked too different.Good luck
Mike Petersen
I bought some sheet-metal from that outfit. The two side panels next to toe pan. They were not very good quality and chose not to use them.
