old-idaho-iron Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 Anyone know if a 46,47,48, Dodge hood will fit, and is the same as a 42 Dodge hood? In all of the pics I have looked at, it looks like it is the same butterfly hood. Chrome trim may be different, but the hoods look the same. I know there's somebody on here that will know. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks Quote
_shel_ny Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 my book shows 1148100 Right 42-48 1148101 Left 42-48 1065897 Center 46-48 I have no pic, so I am not sure exactly "center" is referring to. collectorsautosupply calls it: HOOD FRONT CENTER PANEL ASSY Quote
old-idaho-iron Posted January 18, 2013 Author Report Posted January 18, 2013 So it sounds like the 2 hood halves are the same, the question is what the "center" part is I guess. As I said every picture I look at they,(the 2 hoods) look exactly the same.I know there is alot of 42 only things on a 42, but I know there is some 46 thru 48 parts that interchange. Thanks for the info Shel bizzy. Anyone else care to chime in?? Quote
busycoupe Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 The center part is probably the small piece that the hood ornament and chrome/cloisonn'e emblem is fastened to. It would be different because of the different mounting holes. Dave Quote
