lelshaddai Posted September 23, 2012 Report Posted September 23, 2012 Does it matter what combination of generator and voltage regulator for a 53 218? I have model GGW 6001 Generator and a new Model VRP-4503 A regulator. Since the generator is a higher AMP output (45+ Amps) Should I use a higher AMP regulator. I can get a 55-71 amp regulator. Is it necessary? Quote
Niel Hoback Posted September 23, 2012 Report Posted September 23, 2012 No, as long as the regulator is rated the same or lower than the generator. You don't want the regulator higher than the genny or it will die trying to put out more than it can. Avoid generating smoke. Quote
