dave5711
OK. I scored a motor, and rtested it. Works great. 20 bucks! Now what I find wierd, is that when I took mine off, I noticed the linkage arms have a round hole, that seems to fit really sloppy on a brass hex nut that is bushed on the motor. I figured something used to be there, and it rotted, or broke away over the years. BUT, when I found this working one, it was exactly the same?! wth? is there anything that goes on the hex wiper pivots at the motor, between them and the round hole in the the arms? Thanks
ggdad1951
a rubber grommet that has a hex shaped hole goes there. My orignal vacuum wiper had them left, but they are SHOT!
dave5711
That makes sense. What I did was cut up some plastic tubing plugs (stuff that goes over the tube ends of a new car part like an ac condensor) as it slipped over the hex's and was the right size for the inside of the arm linkage. Worked beauty!
MBF
After the bushing, there's a small metal snap on clip that keeps the wiper actuating arm on the motor arm. I've never seen these as replacements so when I bought a parts truck I carefully removed and put them on my truck. Mike
ggdad1951
I think an e-clip would do in a pinch if they get lost/are damamged/missing
dave5711
I still had the clips. Just the rubber grommets were gone. It's in and working, which is a huge time saver, as I'm planning on taking the truck on a 2000km trip next week.
