I got back yesterday with a new understanding of our hobby. This is the fist time I saw antique parts in abundance. I mean pairs of fenders and doors for prewar cars. I saw Dan there and got a "made in America" Thermostat The bellows type and guess what it's a 160 so I guess that's what belongs there. My second love The 1966 Charger. They had so many Charger's there that I got dizzy. They had parts and venders selling new parts for the car. I think this is the second time I have ben to this meet, with the heat as it was it was worth it. It was not that bad as they had cooling stations are the meet. The cars were reasonably priced, I had to be careful I would have came home with a nice car:D All in All great meet.

Carlise must be one of the best meets in the country. I drove there in my '40 Dodge in the mid 1990's and it was huge back then, I've only driven past it a few times since (including last year) and it's *amazing* how big it's gotten.

The motorcycle event there is pretty great too.

I went today. Saw some old car stuff and lots of muscle car stuff. It was hot, but it was an opportunity to spend time with my Dad and my brother. We found some stuff for my brothers Demon. Only thing I bought was a Pepsi. I did see an overdrive tranny that was marked DeSoto, a non od tranny and some miscellaneous electrical and body parts for our cars. Good time.

There was one demon that had the fuel pump removed, must have had a problem. I bet he got a new one easy. My second car was a Demon 1972. They are forgotten, folks don't know They had the bad looking tail lights. I loved that car. That one got destoryed by a family member. I fixed it up real nice, burgandy with mopar steel wheels and trim rings L60 15 in the back. Pushimg 318. I found some headlight motors for my Charger 1966 lots of those there. My car just sits in the garage:mad:

You are doing one fantastic job! WOW, I love the car. I have always loved the Mopar colors, the lime green is to die for. You are making me very sad that I don't have mine. I knew even as a young cat that those cars were going to be a hit. I saw my car from Bladensburg Road while on the metrobus got off and walked back to the dealership. It cost 795.00 I had 200.00 I wish I had it now because I could have really done it justice. Earl Shibe painted it and I got the Mopar steelies and duel exhaust from accross the street at the junk yard. You are so lucky

Not me Rodney, this is my brothers car. I will pass along your comments. He got to drive it up and down the road the other day. Maiden voyages are the best!

While not being able to attend personally, I had a friend that went. He picked me up a set of cherry 340 exhaust manifolds and a nice pair or bullseye headlights for a hundred bucks! So it will surely help with putting the 360 in the 51! Carlisle is the best!

I Had the Demon's sister, a '72 Duster Twister with a 318. Bought it brand new in Nov of '71. That is one car I wish I still had, so Rodney, I understand how you feel.

olddodge41, love your brothers Demon, the color is fantastic
