Friend told me about a 52 dodge in the local pick a part junk yard. So after work picked up my son a tool bag to go check it out. ends up a truck but eng. all there minus carb. needing a balancer we took it. it has desent body all there interior hammered. eng turns over looks ok. Looks like it has been rebuilt red block blue head. went in yard last week. Sante Fe Springs Ca. My question is weather the balancer will work on my 47 D24 looks the same minus the few holes on the backside of the original one. I guess the holes are there for balancing. Any thoughts on this. 15 bucks was worth it.

15.00 was well worth the money, good find. Being a 52 does it have the 3/8 wide belt? My 52 plymouth has the narrow belt. I thought the older motors used the wide belt. Maybe yours has been changed. I have been trying to find a narrow pulley for some time now, that someone doesn't want 100.00 for it. Stan

It does have the narrow pulley I removed it, truck had an alternator on it. I might return and see if it is still there or send my son over. Doing the rewire now and have not made up my mind on the 6-12 change.

My ride is complete as my late father bought it new. All parts are there. I just needed the balancer as it was damaged from oil saturation. I hab my son go pick up the 3/8 pulley for the crank and h20 pump just in case I co 12 volt with the wire upgrade.
