DCurrent Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 I'm installing seat belts in my back seat for the kids. I was wondering if the rear seat is removed just by simply pushing on the front of the seat frame towards the rear of the car? I have already tried and it seems very tight. I was wondering if the vertical rear seat needs removed first to reveal fasteners. Or is it the other way around? Thanks, Darren Quote
Niel Hoback Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 Push the bottom edge of the seat to the rear and lift up. That will unhook it from the floor. I think the seat back is held in by two sheet metal tabs at the bottom corners. bend them straight out and pull the seat back forward and up to unhook it from the package shelf edge. I think. Its been a while. Quote
james curl Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 The lower cushion is removed by lifting up to clear the two retaining plates located in the front edge of the seat, then pull the cushion toward the front of the car to clear the back cushion. Quote
