Funny you should ask. I did it the hard way and then re-did as follows: First, you need to remove the moveable vent door. There are 4 small machine screws accessible from under the dash. Then the cover lifts right out. The hardest part was removing all the old gasket and hardened glue. Once that is out I used a thin layer of adhesive on the seal and on the groove it fits in. I needed to use 2" masking tape to hold the gasket in place as I placed it. Mine needed to stretch and kept popping out. I taped it as I went and left the ends for last. After a few hours I removed the tape and it was good to go. I then reinstalled the cover. I hope this helps. If it does it will be very rewarding for me since I have been "taking" a lot of info from this site and will be happy to give a little!

Phil,

Good timing! I just got back from picking up the adhesive. With lucky I can put glue the seal down tonight.

I'll let you know how your instructions worked out.

Thanks!

When I did mine-I removed the vent cover, cleaned out the groove really well-put cement in the groove and on the seal, and then used clothespins spaces about an inch apart to hold the seal in place while the adhesive dried. Good luck.

I just noticed that I'm missing this gasket.

What was the best source for this gasket?

Dennis

Dennis,

I got mine from ebay seller FMMPAR. I just checked and he didn't currently have any listed, however he does rather frequently list them available. I'm happy with the quality but haven't as yet installed mine. I had planned to install mine this past weekend but my wife had different ideas, she wanted a fence put up instead!
