Normspeed Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 Shel, you unbolt the pedal pads, slip the rubber seals down the pedal shaft, work them through the hole in the floor with a large dull screwdriver while the pedal shaft is pushed in a bit, and they slip over a raised bump on the shaft that holds them in place. The flat square part faces upwards and seals against the underside of the floor but only when the pedal is fully up. The pads move up and down with the pedal shaft. Quote
Normspeed Posted April 21, 2007 Report Posted April 21, 2007 That's the way mine are Shel. They don't seal when you're depressing a pedal. On my pedals there's a little nub on the shaft, you push the rubber just past that nub and that's where it goes. Mines a 53 and may be different. These pedals are out of a 50, may be more like yours. I would say you would push the rubber down til it hits the raised area and leave it there. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted April 21, 2007 Report Posted April 21, 2007 Shel, if you look at the pedal shaft below the floor, you should see a nub on the shaft that stops the pad from sliding on down. thats why the hole needs to be fairly snug on the shaft. Yes...the hole is open when pedal is depressed. But its not all so depressing. Quote
Don Coatney Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 Shel; I also was confused until I figgured they go below the floorboard. Quote
