Fender Welt and Cab mounts-I've got questions

Hello All,

Last week I pulled the front fenders off of the radiator support. I had assumed that between the front of the fenders and the grille piece that it was just plain old fender welting. It actually looks more like a thick piece of 2 sided tape. My question is, what are you guys using in between there when you put the truck back together. I don't see anything available from Robert's.

Also. I bought new cab mounts (1948 1/2 ton) from Roberts. One rubber is about 3/4'' thick and the other is an inch thicker. Which one goes right under the cab, and which one goes under the mount? |My old ones are too beat up to tell and the shop manual doesn't seem to show a difference in thickness between top and bottom rubbers.
