Wing Vent Glass Removal

Any tips on how to remove the wing vent glass without destroying it? I'd like to get it out in one piece so I can use it for a pattern.

I had good luck getting the metal piece off of the side windows by using a propane torch to warm up the metal and soften the rubber. I was going to use the same method on the vent windows too, but haven't got to it yet.

My other thought was to take them over to the glass shop as is and let them deal with it.

Thanks Merle - I had not thought about using heat - I'll give it a try.

Soak the rubber with methylene chloride and the rubber will disintegrate.
