Barry Maxwell Posted December 15, 2011 Report Posted December 15, 2011 Although I won't need them for quite awhile, I am going to buy a set of shock absorbers for my restoration of a '51 B3C. I am thinking of buying them from Roberts, but I would appreciate thoughts of others regarding Roberts shocks as opposed to other suppliers. Are there cautions or concerns that I should be aware of? Thanks. Quote

Thanks. I had gotten some shocks from Roberts and they would have worked fine, but they didn't fit my '51 B3D (too short). I'd say as long as they are the right size, they should work fine. Otherwise there is NAPA and trying to find the right ones thru them. Quote
Rocket-bob Posted December 15, 2011 Report Posted December 15, 2011 Hard to beat Napa for price and speed. I just replaced the shocks on my B3C and they had them in the store. Quote
manfromtarsus Posted December 15, 2011 Report Posted December 15, 2011 I recently ordered a pair of front shocks for my B-4-B from Amazon.com (Gabriel - all black) and am very pleased. it took about two weeks for delivery. Paid $49.87, including shipping, for the pair. Quote

Barry Maxwell Posted December 21, 2011 Author Report Posted December 21, 2011 To close out this thread, I bought the shocks from NAPA as mentioned by Rocket-Bob. They are black and look great - certainly when compared to the 60 year old shocks that were on the truck. Thanks guys. Quote
