dmulhall Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 I just picked up a good running 251 industrial that was in a '47 half ton, for some reason?. Would this fit in my b2b easy enough? The blocks are almost the same length (canadian 218-25") Always thanks in advance Dave Quote
Reg Evans Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 It should drop in and bolt right up. Quote
55 Fargo Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 Canadian Lhead Mopar 6s are all 25 inches long, and it will bolt right in. Even the 218 Canadian engine has the 8 bolt crank. The 1 difference, can be a post 1951 engine, which has the internal by-pass water pump passages, as compared to the earlier external waterpump by-pass set-ups. You will get a little more HP, and have a longer stroke in the 251. Does the 251 have the full flow oil filtration, some do, some don't. If the engine is Industrial, it will be built tough, is it a 251 or 265, any Industrial engine ID plate on the engines right side???? Quote
