Reg Evans Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 After his comment, you should have sunk to his level and called him a "poo poo head", but then he probably would've said, "Takes one to know one". Sounds like you made a good call. Now I don't care who you are . That's funny I'm LOLTM Quote
grey beard Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 Just a Post Script to all your wisdom here. If any of you find yourselves needing automitive eyes in a distant city - just like this thread mentioned - you might want to consider calling your local AAA office - IF you are an AAA member. AAA has an Approved Auto Repair component that advocates for members regarding service complaints and repair site approval - worked for them for many years, and recently in Ohio. They will gladly send an ASE certified field rep to look at the vehicle you are considering and give you a completely unbiased bill of health. If there are specifric areas you would like them to inspect, they'll gladly do so for you. I have done this service for other members several times - twice on expensive motor homes, which is sort of a big responsibliltiy. I approached the job from the aspect of reporting what I found wrong or less than satisfactory, and left the rest to be assumed okay. Never had any complaints, and the service is offered free of charge to AAA members. If you ever get the itch, just call the lcoal office and ask to speak to an AAR rep. They're nice guys . . . Quote
