bob westphal Posted April 7, 2007 Report Posted April 7, 2007 The answer is No! The same goes for a power brake booster. I have done a trick with the breather cap on the oil filler tube where I put a cap that has the vent off to the side in the form of a nipple. I ran a 3/4" hose from a nipple I installed on the air cleaner to the oil filler cap. Thus eliminating most of the oil mess on the filler tube and surrounding area and fumes in the car. Quote
Niel Hoback Posted April 7, 2007 Report Posted April 7, 2007 I haven't noticed the pcv valve having any effect on the motor other than a slightly higher idle speed due to the extra air bleed. It's not enough to cause a problem, but I don't have a semi-auto trans, either. Quote
