I am installing new chain and gears on my 52 concoard. In the cover plate that goes on first, which is part of the motor mount. There is a 1/4 threaded hole in this cover between the cam shaft, and the crank gear.Anyone know what this threaded hole is for? Thanks for any info. Stan

I just remembered, are you talking about the oiler? There is small tube that is mounted to that threaded hole, You can see it in this pic. But the threaded hole is in the block not the cover?

I see the big picture now. There is a hole where the chain oil tube plugs into and the 1/4 threaded hole is for the clamp. After 20 or so years of this motor being apart that tube is gone.:( Where do you think I can find one? May need to make one does the tube have 2 holes to squirt on both gears? Stan
