Was bringing my D24 home for first time in 14 months. All excited to be on the road. Pulled out of my shop, and thought she seemed sluggish. Then decided to stop and grab some beer. Got out and smelled a really funny smell, looked under my car and saw a flame. I forgot to release the e-brake and had a fire. Glad I had an extinguisher. Also very glad I needed some beer, otherwisee don't know when I would have realized I had a fire. An extremely stupid mistake almost put a premature end to 14 months of hard work. But got the fire out and enjoyed a nice short cruise. All ready for tomorrow. Car running great, just need to wax her in the morning. Will post pics of the trip.

And people say beer is bad for you.

I once took a 61 Holden for a drive that I was interested in buying. We drove it around the suburbs for about 10km. When back at the dude's place I said no thanks & went on our way. In the car my missus said "you DH, you know you had the handbrake on". Nope, I didn't... :o

That reminds me of a song:

In heaven there is no Beer,

Thats why we drink it here,

and since we're not here long,

Then lets all drink another Beer.

Auf Deutch:

In Himmel es gibt kein Beer,

Darum trinken wir es here

Und seit wir nicht here mere,

Dann trinken wir ein andere Beer.

Yeeee Haaaaaa......

I'm gald you were OK with no damage.
