47heaven Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 One problem I have with my car is forgetting the emergency brake is engaged and will sometimes start driving off with it on. I was curious if there ever was an optional emergency brake light that would mount under the dash. Something like this... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1957-58-CADILLAC-ELDORADO-EMERGENCY-BRAKE-LIGHT-SWITCH_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ140738QQitemZ250093770294QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW If not, how could I make one to look period correct? thedahmer Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 Dwight, if you dont mind my asking what does something like that cost? GD Quote
Dwight Pectol Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 GD I paid about $28.00 including shipping for the one I got. Starting bid on it was $9.00 I think. DW Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 I sold one of those ebay a couple of years ago. I think it went for about $25 to $30 too. Quote
1just4don Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 When I was a kid and too dumb to know ( read as too dumb to not take better care of the car)better I drove a 50 Dodge that had a flashing red light while the emergency brake was on. Most newer cars have them now so shouldnt be real hard to come by a switch to do what you want, even if not perfect. Quote
junkyardjeff Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 My 50 chrysler had one that I think came from the factory with,it flashed the map light. Jeff Quote
