Yeah, that happens to me too. But with this, I fooled around with it so much that I will likely remember how it goes. I kept screwing up the dash and starting over, so I had lots of repetition. With the Minwax stain I found that you pretty much have to get it all down in one shot. If you go back to fix a spot, you're pretty much sunk. Going back over material that's already been applied is just a no-go. At least in my experience. It's easier to wipe it all off with mineral spirits and start again.

Reminds me very much of the '49 Plymouth we drove to highschool. That is the shade I prefer of all the ones I have seen in any car.

You should be very proud of yourself!!

The rest of it will be the real challenge.
