Woodgraining update

Yeah, that happens to me too. But with this, I fooled around with it so much that I will likely remember how it goes. I kept screwing up the dash and starting over, so I had lots of repetition. With the Minwax stain I found that you pretty much have to get it all down in one shot. If you go back to fix a spot, you're pretty much sunk. Going back over material that's already been applied is just a no-go. At least in my experience. It's easier to wipe it all off with mineral spirits and start again.

Reminds me very much of the '49 Plymouth we drove to highschool. That is the shade I prefer of all the ones I have seen in any car.

Thanks very much. I decided to just take as much time as it took and do lots of experimenting. Frankly, I'm glad it's out of the way. I do have the window garnish to do, but that shouldn't be very hard.
