The rear shackles on my truck look worn out they have a lot of side to side play, is it a big job to replace them. I thought obout cutting the shackle with a saws all or a abrasive wheel and driving out the pieces. The nut on the spring side is frozen and I cant seem to get a hold on the nut burried in the shackle hanger. I am getting ready to paint the frame and thought I should repair them now or should I leave them alone. Thanks your input.

If you have a local suspension shop thats where I bought mine. First I tried Roberts and Bernbaums, that was a mistake. The ones they sell DID NOT WORK. Worse was I couldn't get them to admit their parts weren't right. I then stopped at a local suspension shop and they had good quality U.S. made shackles.

Just my $0.02 !
