ssdodge51 Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 Has anybody installed a modern style headliner in a Pilothouse? I am thinking of something like my 55Chevy with headliner bows. thanks, Steve Quote
grey beard Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 Mine's made of fiberglass paneling from Lowes and painted dark brown - used the sam stuff on my kick panels and door panels. It's cheap and should last frorever, JMHO. Good Luck Quote
grey beard Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 By popular request, here are a few pics of my Lowes fiberglass el-cheapo headliner and trim panels - painted with Fusion plastic paint. They're holding up pretty well. Good Luck 1 Quote
NiftyFifty Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 Has anybody installed a modern style headliner in a Pilothouse? I am thinking of something like my 55Chevy with headliner bows. thanks, Steve Made my head liner (no back window piece yet), and door liners/kick panels out of 1/8" quarter cut oak veneer(sp), I love the way it looks....but I do need to get something in the back window this year to close the gap...I also mad some speaker holders out of the oak for the corners behind your head... I see in the pic I have I don't have the roof liner in..but it's the same material Quote
jpellican Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 What did you use for the edging of the panels? Quote
NiftyFifty Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 I just put a slight bevel on mine...I couldn't think of anything else that would look good, and that stuff is so thin you can just spend a few mins with some light snadpaper and make a nice edge Quote
