Booker T Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 I was at a swapmeet in Conroe, Texas over the weekend and saw this Mopar Flathead. This one was in the machine shop right after mine was...he has gotten his back together a lot quicker than I have! Quote
thrashingcows Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Nice looking motor. What is it in? Early 20/30's mopar? Quote
Booker T Posted February 21, 2011 Author Report Posted February 21, 2011 Nice looking motor. What is it in? Early 20/30's mopar? Wow...now that I think about it I was too busy looking at the motor, since I am in the process of putting mine back together, to notice the car. Quote
faucet47custom Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 I have nothing to comment about the motor, but I read that the swap meet was in Conroe Texas. I spent my days roaming fields and woods in the early eighties there. From what I remember, it was one of those towns that if you blinked you would miss it as you drove through. Sorry for derailing the thread. Quote

Sorry for derailing the thread. Conroe pretty much blends into North Houston now...I think the population is about 60k. I moved to the area in the early 80's and I can remember what you are talking about...it is a lot different now! Quote
Powerhouse Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 WOW..that has to be a custom manifold...I wonder how well it runs. That intake seems to sit up high...would that make for more torque? Quote
Booker T Posted February 23, 2011 Author Report Posted February 23, 2011 Yep, it is a custom manifold. I like that they ran a pipe through the middle to heat it. The pictures I took are kinda crappy because they were with my phone. The motor looked pretty sharp in that car... Quote
