My name is Lanny Haff I've been reading this forum for awhile. There is alot of interessting info. I have 1933 plymouth PD coupe that my brother gave me,it had a 327 chevy in it. but I removed it + put a 230 flathead out of a 1948 dodge in it. The engine has 3 carbs, milled head [.060], split exhaust + afull race cam. It also has an hei distributor. The car has 350 turbo trans that I hooked up to the 6 with a wilcap adaptor. I started the swap a few days ago + I thought it would be easy, so far I had to move the steering box over 3"+ I have to move the trans back 2". I have to shorten the drive shaft also. Everyone tells me I should have left it alone but I have no problem with modified cars as long as a ford has a ford motor a chevy a chevy + a chrysler a chrysler. Besides I've always been a mopar fan. there is no better sound than a 6 cyl plymouth with smittys + asplit manifold.

I just want give a quick profile. I'm 69 years young. I retired from Palm Bch County Water Utilites in 2008.Before that I worked for Harley Davidson of Palm Bch. I've had a bunch of mopars over the years. I've had my coupe for 10 years, I bought my 6 cyl motor in 2008 + finally started working on it last week. My brother died right after I bought the motor + I kind stopped working on the car. It's been registered the whole time I've had but other than a short cruise now + then it pretty much sat. I decided it's time to proceed. I have 2000 dollars investd in my 230 so it's time.
