Drdialtone Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 Anybody know of a source for the wide rear window blinds? Quote
John Reddie Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 I have seen several sets on line for '60s era Chevys but they were priced way high, $500 - $1000:eek:. I wonder if you could take a set for a house window and fabricate a set for your car. It would probably be time consuming but much less expensive. Just a thought. John R Quote
Dennis Hemingway Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 Check on E-bay, Here is a set for a 41 to 48 Chevy that might fit. blucarsdn Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 Are you referring to the roll up window blinds that were common during the 1920's-30's?... That type of blind is a roll up made of cloth that generally was mounted below the window. When the blind is pulled up it attaches to a snap or lug at the top of the window. The mounting bar is spring loaded just like the old window blinds that most old houses used in the '30's/40's. LeBarron-Bonny or Hampton might be a source for the fabric, the mounting hardware would be the difficult part to find....Bill Quote
