JIPJOBXX Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 I found this yesterday at this weekend swap meet and was wondering if anyone here has seen one of these before. The hole at the top is where a stored cigarette is popped out by pushing that plunger located on the front and the lighter part of it is that knob that has the heat element in it. The knob pushes in and heats that element up and then you pull oft the knob and light your cigarette. Very cool old lighter and I think it would somewhere from the 30's or so. Paid all of 20 dollars for it and I think I got a bargain. Oh yes I showed it to a few of my club members and they had never seen such an item. Quote
P-12 Tommy Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 That's different! Never saw one of those either. Tom Quote

blucarsdn Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 Recently on ebay there was a unit called a Pres-lite... it was a brown Bakelite unit that held several cigarettes, when you opened the lower tray a lite cigarette was held in the tray. The bidding went to $182. plus s/h I have a very nice unit that is like the press-lite.... guess I will have to put it on the Bay... Bill Quote

JIPJOBXX Posted November 10, 2010 Author Report Posted November 10, 2010 I have one of those in my Dodge! Quote
Roadkingcoupe Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 I have one of those in my Dodge! They were sold for all cars but were also available as a dealer accessory part # and all in a FORD box! I am sure that other automobile companies had them as dealer accessories repackaged for your Ford, Nash, Stude etc. Just came across a PB 1/2 filter in a CHRYCO box with MoPaR logo and all! Quote
