HELLO FOLKS I NEED A LITTLE IN PUT ON MY 94 LE BARON I have a wobble between 30 & 40 i replaced both front wheel bearings as they were making a rubbing noise , but still have the wobble on the drivers side i can move the tire side to side and there is play , i can see the tie rod moving around it looks brand new so i tried to tighten the castle nut but it doesn`t seem to do any good still a lot of play ... could this just be a bad tie rod end ? anybody else ever have this problem ?? thanx CHANCE

I was checking out my Ranger, and found a wobble on the pasenger side. The tierod has slack. The nut needed tighened just a little. But your situation sounds like the ball and socket part of the tierod is in need of replacement.

If there's any movement or play in the tie rod end, it needs to be replaced. Tightening the nut will do nothing to tighten it unless the nut is loose. There should be a cotter pin to keep it from loosening, so I doubt if that's your problem.

When you do change the tie rod end, you will have to check the toe in or better yet, spend the money and have a good shop do a front end alignment.
