Hey guys

I am remodeling (rebuilding) a two door 47 plymouth special delux I was wondering if you all could help me out with one question. I bought the car with a stubbed camaro front end welded onto the original frame and it is welded on crooked and while I am building a new frame with four wheel independant suspension I never saw the old frame under the car with the fenders on so I dont know if it was the right length anyway.

My question is what is the wheelbase for a 1947 special delux two door coupe?

I will try and get some pics posted to show what I am working with right now I have a rust free body and fenders the only thing is the body is also free of about the bottom five inches including floorboard so I need some help.

The frame is going to made out of 2x4x 11 gauge and will connect the front and rear suspension out of my 94 lincoln which had airbags stock so the plymouth will too. the rearend is a ford nine inch with true full posi and 4/10 rearend gears I am upgrading to 12 inch discs.

As far as the body goes I am at this time in the middle of removing that hump in the side of the car so I will be cutting about nine inches well four more inches off the bottom and then adding it back so the sides of the car drop straight instead of bulging out then I will one day in the future also hope to chop the top 3 1/2 inches Im going for the lead sled look I think with suicide lambo doors still in the design stages but the RUST is dead

Thankyou for any help you can offer.

It looks like the wheelbase was 117".
