Zeke1953
I finally got going on my bed renovation project last spring. Was hoping to have it all done in time for the Fourth of July parade but I didn't make it. Not too many of us stake body owners around, but I thought you guys might like seeing some pictures anyway. I had rust-through on the back of the cab that I needed to take the bed off to get at it, so I figured I might as well replace the bed wood and strips at the same time. Each plank is 7 1/2' long by 7 1/2" wide by 1" thick Red Oak I bought from a local saw mill. Zeke
Bob_Koch
It should be real nice when you're done.
NiftyFifty
Little off topic....but are your rear shocks stock? That's one wicked angle to be at....don't seem like they would do much there.....my new diff has a spot for them, but for the life of me I can't see where I can mount them to the frame yet... Zeke1953
Those shocks are all stock. I see what you mean about the angle. I think that the weight of the bed and stakes must expand the springs and change the shock angle. I've driven it a few times with the bed removed and it rides and handles poorly.
