dontknowitall
Can someone here explain the difference between the 2 gearboxes I have. One is a 1953 7" Inch Brake set up, that is the brake drum is larger then my 1950 gearbox set up....its smaller. Is this because the gearbox is different... 3 or 4 speed? and if so how do i find out what is a 3 or 4 speed?
Reg Evans
If reverse is up and to the left it's a 3 speed. If it's down and to the right it's a 4 speed. That is if they are floor shifters.
dontknowitall
They both are colum shift, but as stated one has a larger drum that connects to the driveshaft, 7" inch . I was hoping to use the brake setup but they dont interchange because of size difference. If reverse is up and to the left it's a 3 speed. If it's down and to the right it's a 4 speed. That is if they are floor shifters.
