Does anyone know if the dashes in the pre and post-war Plymouths were interchangable between models? Specifically I want to find out if my P10 dash from my 4dr sedan parts car will swap with the wagon dash (which is a bit beat up). The cowls are different (wagons and verts from the others) so before I go tearing things apart, I thought that I would ask.

looked in my '40 ply factory parts list book, group 23 page 24 shows #881397 for conv. coupe (woody not listed), and #849376 for everything else. These #'s are for LHD, RHD dashs have different #'s....maybe take them both out and compare, differences may be slight.

I think the numbers may be different because the convertible dashes were painted body color while all the others were wood-grained. I believe the dashes will interchange. Will be interested to hear what you find out.

Hey bob, i think that 40 plymouths all are the same, 41 are different and so is p15's. i think you cajn only use 40 dashes. the radio grills are all different from the those years, and i cant see them working, b.c of differnt mounting hardware.
