Don Coatney Posted October 28, 2006 Report Posted October 28, 2006 Brad; Think I will stick with my old dual voltage charger until it dies. Quote
Brad Lustig Posted October 28, 2006 Author Report Posted October 28, 2006 I've got an older one (probably about 15 years old now) that has 6v and 12v. Still seems to do the job. One thing I like about the one I posted is it is supposed to have an 8 minute to start feature. I like the jump start feature better, though. Quote
Brad Lustig Posted October 28, 2006 Author Report Posted October 28, 2006 I'm wondering what that 8 minute deal is myself. I was wondering if there is a surge for 8 minutes and then it drops off to 6amps. I have no clue. Just read a few forum posts on woot.com and people are saying that the 8 minute charge to start is for a battery that is discharged just enough that the car won't start. Also, Vector is the same as Black and Decker http://www.amazon.com/Black-Decker-VEC1086BBD-BATTERY-CHARGER/dp/B000EJWYOW/sr=1-4/qid=1162012036/ref=sr_1_4/002-5684853-4269619?ie=UTF8&s=automotive So take that for what it's worth...
