billwillard Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 Andy B. Always Had Parts I Needed But Acts As Though He Is Doing You A Favor By Answering The Phone. Therefore He Is Always My Last Choice. Not Good Business Person By Any Means. Bill Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 Guess I should look at the rear wheel cylinders I got from Bern a while back. They are just sitting on the work bench in the packaging as received. Have not gotten to the point of installing yet, so just been ignoring them. Quote
blueskies Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 I spent about 1.5 hours cleaning up the mystery goo off of and out of the wheel cylinders I got from Bernbaum. I feel like I should send him a bill for my time!!!!! These so called "complete assemblies" weren't cheap and I almost spent as much time cleaning them out as I would have spent rebuilding my old ones. One rear cylinder was missing the inner spring and another has pits in the bore. GIVE ME A BRAKE ANDY !!!!! I bought complete assemblies from Kantor, and they were a bolt on deal, no muss/fuss. Reg Evans Posted March 2, 2007 Author Report Posted March 2, 2007 Darn ! I checked Kantors site and they only go back to '46 for Dodge and Plymouth brake parts and RockAuto only goes back to '49. My poor little '40 Plym is left out in the cold. Quote
